Chairmans Letter – November 2018

Dear Kennet Beekeeper,

I hope you have all been a better KBKA member than your Chairman, who has only just paid subscription his for the year! To get the full benefit of membership you need to pay your subs now. Just download the membership form from the KBKA website, make a payment to our KBKA bank, Account no 43907768, sort code 309263, and email or post your completed form to our membership secretary :- sophie@activeinfo.co.uk. If you are making a bank transfer don’t forget to put your name as the reference – so we know its you who have paid.

On Friday 2 November we have a very interesting talk on “Queen rearing my way” by Kevin Horner. Kevin runs Sarum Bee Supplies and is a very knowledgeable bee farmer. He will bring a bit of kit and this will be a hands on experience as well as a lecture. Not to be missed. All at Bishop Cannings village Hall, SN10 2LA. Please bring your membership forms (and a cheque if not paid via bank) and give them to Sophie.

On 22 November in the Coronation Hall, Alton Barnes I am giving a talk called “Goings on in a Beehive” – You should all know what I am talking about – but it could be of interest to beginners and maybe a family member who does not understand your passion for bees.  By clicking this you can order tickets.

All best wishes to all members

Robert Carpenter Turner
